Asia Project

Equipping Pastors and Ministry Leaders

Equip Pastors Serving in UPGs

By giving today, you are empowering pastors and leaders to serve among unreached people groups (UPGs) in Asia. The area in Asia we are focused in is a region that contains eight countries. The total population of these countries is more than 1.5 billion of people. There are almost 4 thousand people groups in these countries. A people group is a group with its own ethnicity, language, and culture. Around 90% of these people groups are part of what is known as UPGs. A UPG is a group of people who lack a community of Christians able to evangelize the rest of the people group without outside help. According the Joshua Project, there are 6,900 UPGs worlwide, almost 50% of the worlwide UPGs are located in this area.

The Word of God says: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come" (Mathew 24:14). This means that these 4 thousand people groups are going to be reached with the Gospel before the end of this age. What a great privilege to be part of this!

We have been positioned in a very strategic place to connect with key pastors and ministry leaders who are already located close to these UPGs. Every single week our team is in close contact with national leaders who are already making an impact in some of these countries. We cannot share much details as we usually do to not jeopardize the advancement of the Gospel in these communities.

This project initially includes the ongoing partnership with key ministry leaders in five different locations. These are leaders of leaders who are already putting in practice what is said in 2 Timothy 2:2 "and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also." These five groups of pastors and ministry leaders are leading denominations, planting and pastoring churches, starting small groups, developing schools, running orphanages, guiding discipleships, mentoring leaders, and more.

We will be equipping pastors and leaders through consulting, training, and projects. As in other regions of the world we will be using educational and technological tools. Our four areas of ministry service will be used at different extents and settings to nurture Gospel transformation in the communities where these servants are currently working: leadership development, eLearning, oral strategies, and technology.

We estimate a need of $50,000 to cover the first two phases of this project. These two initial phases will take one year once the funding is raised.

The total cost of this project is US$50,000.00

Project range: May 2019 - April 2020
